Saturday I "celebrated" my engagement with my family. John had to work, so it was a great big family dinner. As usual, my cute niece Ava stole the spotlight. She showed me her chicken-herding abilities and her love of Elmo. She carried him around all day! She is so cute and her language is great! She has my brother's stubborness for sure...but she has Amanda's ability to make silly faces.



All in all, she's a cutie!

Take Memories, Leave Only Footsteps

This weekend I went for a hike in the woods. 2 miles, lots of steps. John and I went hiking in Virginia on a trail called Cascade falls. Little did I know that he had more than a hike up his sleeve!

He popped the question! He asked me in front of the falls after we ate lunch and warmed back up. I was majorly in shock! He said a bunch of stuff about how his love is eternal...I heard blah, blah, blah, then he got down on one knee and proposed.

Anyone near us thought I was praying! All I could say was Oh GOd! and Shutup! I think I said yes right away, but John says I didn't. he finally said -- I hope that's a yes!

I have the most beautiful ring ever!!!!!!! I can't wait to see everyone and show it off.

Meetingitis

I love what I do! I am an international officer in my Sorority -- the first and finest-- but I have meeting-itis when it comes to multiple day meetings. My body is like ---MOVE-- and my brain eventually vegges out. It's like I can't ingest anymore unless I get some fresh air and a good long walk.

On the positive side- when we got finished I went shopping for a little bit and bought a new dress and a new pair of jeans. Both were 1 size smaller than I would normally buy!!!!! I have had serious issues the last two weeks sticking with healthy eating, but getting a couple of new items was a great pick me up!!!!

GO VOLS!!!!!

What a crazy weekend! I am in Atlanta when the biggest game of the season is going on! Don't count out those UT vols yet! I couldn't be more proud to be a big orange fan than when we kick some Georgia butt!

Almost Monday

Sunday......

Today is the first day I don't totally feel like a snot machine. I have had a little cold for the past few days and it sucks!

I have started back on my path to hit my weight loss goal. I do Weight Watcher's and it works, when I decide to stick with it. So far, I have kept off 9 lbs. My goal is 30. I sorta forgot how hard it is to bypass Zaxby's on the way home (big fan of the House fried!) and work on eating more fruit and veggies. I also miss the ladies who used to help me in E-ville IN! But my leader is really great! Right now, I am craving BBQ sauce with a passion.........
